Grout tips
-
Blend in or stand out? Grout close to your tile colour gives a calm, seamless look. A contrasting grout shows off each tile and makes the pattern pop.
-
Think about floors. Light grout on a floor shows dirt more than a mid or darker shade, so it's worth thinking about busy spots like hallways and kitchens.
-
Check the colour first. Colours on screen are a guide only, as every screen is different. Before you grout the whole job, mix a little and try it on a spare tile so you can see it next to your tiles.
-
Work out how much. Pop your tile size, gap and area into our grout calculator and it tells you how many 3 kg bags you need. Add a little extra for wastage, and buy it all in one go so the colour matches.
-
Mind the gap. Fugabella Color fills joints from 0 to 20 mm. Use the gap you're actually leaving between tiles, which is usually the size of your spacers.
-
Tiling a mosaic? Measure one little tile, not the whole sheet. The grout goes in the gaps between the little tiles, so mosaics need more than big tiles.
